MR. BOJAN PAJTIC RECEIVED ROMANIAN INVESTORS
"GREEN GROUP" (group of Romanian companies successfully engaged in recycling different types of waste in South East European countries) Delegation has expressed the readiness to invest the principle sum of USD 5mn to build a new electrical and electronic waste recycling facility during their today's meeting with the Mr. Bojan Pajtic, Vojvodina Prime Minister. In addition, the Green Group is interested in investing to further improve the current plastics recycling capacities in Greentech recycling facilities in Mladenovo, Backa Palanka, recycling more than 220 million PET bottles since the establishment in 2005..

Mr.  Bojan Pajtic, Vojvodina Prime Minister, said he was pleased with the fact that the "Green Group" first significant recycling facility investment was in Vojvodina Autonomous Province, in the Backa Palanka municipality, and with the International group wanting to re-invest in Vojvodina expanding its business.

“Green Group plans are very significant for us. In addition to creating jobs for the Backa Palanka municipality citizens within the PET packaging recycling facility, it is also important that thus far our region has not had this kind of production providing the opportunities for our environmental protection and raising citizens’ awareness that various types of waste can be used for further processing”, stated Mr. Bojan Pajtic, Vojvodina Prime Minister, adding that Vojvodina Government would, through its VIP Fund - Investment Fund, provide logistic support in order to have the Green Group planned investments  successfully implemented.

Green Group Delegation consisted of the following directors: Mr. Clement Hung (CEO, "Romkarbon"), Ms. Cristina Dobrota ("GreenFiber"), Mr. Marius Costache ("GreenWEEE") and Mr. Mihail Mateski ("Greentech"). The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Romania in Serbia HE Ion Macovei and Mr. Branislav Bugarski, Vojvodina VIP Fund general manager.

Green Group is interested in new facility construction investment to recycle electrical and electronic waste employing the latest technology that should, according to Ms. Cristina, be a regional center, employing 100 to 150 people. Using the experiences of Green Group companies successfully operating in Romania, Ukraine, Macedonia and Greece, the new facility would utilize modern waste treatment technology applying integrated waste material approach, providing complete processing treatment in accordance with the existing European regulation. This would in turn contribute to the EU's waste recycling objectives achievement, meeting EU standards as well as creating collectors’ network for electrical and electronic waste.

Greentech Ltd Novi Sad utilizes post-consumer PET packaging as a raw material in its recycling facility in Mladenovo near Backa Palanka, with its further usage for the production of polyester fibers within the Green Group. Production completes the full cycle at Greentech - PET purchase, PET recycling and PET finalization. Mladenovo production facility capacity is 600 tons per month. The average facility occupancy rate is 50%, thus remaining wide open to long term collaboration with new suppliers operating in Serbia. The company employs 38, operating with utility companies and waste collectors from Novi Sad, Belgrade, Nis and other cities.
