2012 INTERNATIONAL ECO EXPO & CONFERENCE AWARD FOR SUCCESSFUL EVENT APPEARANCE

Greentech Ltd. Novi Sad made a notable appearance at the 2nd International ECO EXPO & Conference 2012, held on March 1-2 at Belgrade’s Belexpocenter. Significant number of trade visitors turning up at the Greentech’s booth had the opportunity to see and feel the post-consumer PET packaging recycling products: PET FLEX, PET fibers and PET strapping, as well as to learn about the recycling process and its importance in environmental protection from the company representatives and/or the available promotional material.

The booth was visited by Mr. Oliver Dulic, Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning in Government of Republic of Serbia, as well as the representatives of the relevant ministries, media, NGOs, public utility companies and number of private companies cooperating with Greentech Ltd.

RECYCLING RESULTING ECO BAGS

Portal www.budiekofin.com (Novi Sad) and Centre for Sustainable Development (CENOR, Subotica) launched the "Say yes to eco bags - Kaži da eko torbama" campaign, aimed at raising the environmental awareness, and pointing out the plastic bags usage problem as well as the local eco-brand introduction - ecological bags made from recycled post-consumer PET bottles instead of plastic bags.

Post-consumer PET bottles recycling made polyester fiber is widely used in the textile, automotive, and furniture industries, with Campaign donated eco bags to the citizens being 100% made out of the polyester fiber.

Campaign was executed in cooperation with Greentech Ltd. Novi Sad, the plastics recycling company in the Novi Sad city center on Saturday, November 26 (between 11.00 and 16.00). All of the citizens of Novi Sad bringing at least two PET bottles and disposing them into Greentech/Sekopak dedicated bin received an ecological bag containing the Campaign slogan. Approximately 1.000 post-consumer PET bottles were collected, meaning that about 50 kg of post-consumer PET packaging were recycled in a Greentech’s Mladenovo facility.

I RECYCLE, PLAY, AND TRAVEL

Serbian baseball PONY league (16 and under league) championship winning baseball and softball club "Novi Sad" issued their Letter of Acknowledgements to the company Greentech Ltd. Novi Sad for their successful cooperation and financial assistance implemented via post-consumer PET packaging collection and redemption.

Few months ago baseball and softball club "Novi Sad" launched "I Recycle, Play, and Travel" campaign with a view to educate its members regarding the recycling importance and their involvement in the post-consumer PET packaging collection to secure additional funding for the club travelling organization. Greentech has supported club’s activities and ensured both collected post-consumer PET packaging redemption, and commercial donations in order to help club’s tournament participations.

GREENTECH AT 8TH INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND NATURAL RESOURCES FAIR - ECOFAIR

Greentech Ltd. Novi Sad participated for the forth consecutive year at the Belgrade Fair traditionally mid-October held ECOFAIR. This year's Fair feedbacks are more than positive. The Fair was well attended, with plenty of exhibitors and comprehensive accompanying program.

Eighth International ECOFAIR was opened by Minister Oliver Dulic, with relevant Ministry representatives participating in accompanying programs and direct communication with exhibitors being far more extensive than previous year. Series of conferences were held and attended by representatives of the state administration, industry, local governments and civil society, with Fair serving its intended purpose and facilitating quality information exchange, open discussions, and intensive communication between different sector representatives.

LETTER OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS FOR "DUNAVSKI CVET" ACTIVITY PARTICIPATION

Greentech Ltd. Novi Sad was awarded the Letter of Acknowledgement at a Children's Week celebration held in Telep’s "Dunavski cvet" kindergarten for their participation in the gymnasium renovation fundraising campaign.

"Dunavski cvet" children and their educators collected 150 kg of bottle caps within the action, delivered to Greentech Ltd for recycling. Children from pre-school groups entertained their fellows from the Children's Village in Sremski Karlovci, Novi Sad city administration representatives and other guests with an appropriate program.
