GREENTECH IN “LET'S CLEAN SERBIA” ACTIVITY
Greentech Ltd Novi Sad, plastics recycling company, engaged in the “Let's Clean Serbia” Activity organized by the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, and executed throughout the Serbian proper during Saturday, June 4, thus marking the World Environment Day. Greentech workers were cleaning the Lovrenac channel near the village of Mladenovo, in the vicinity of Backa Palanka. Approximately 12 cubic meters of waste was collected during the event. Post-consumer PET bottles made ​​up the most of collected waste, as they were separated and recycled within the Greentech’s recycling facility in Mladenovo after the event. The other “Let's Clean Serbia” activity participants’ experiences acting on various locations throughout Serbia showed that post-consumer PET bottles are among the biggest environmental polluters.

GREENTECH AWARDED WITH CAPTAIN MISA ANASTASIJEVIĆ CHARTER

 

Greentech Ltd Novi Sad, plastics recycling company, was awarded "Captain Misa Anastasijevic" Charter in the healthier and more beautiful Novi Sad, Vojvodina, Serbia category.

 

 

 

Committee presiding by Dr. Ilija Cosic, Dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, explained awarding decision by the fact that Greentech Ltd Novi Sad plastics recycling engagement contributed significantly to a healthier and more beautiful environment in both Vojvodina and the whole of Serbian proper, where there Greentech has developed its suppliers’ network.

 

 

 

"Captain Misa Anastasijevic" Charter is awarded for the past 11 years, with part of the "Road to the Top" project promoting business creativity in Serbia via the same name monograph issuance.

GREENTECH AWARDED "MY GREEN WORK" (“MOJE ZELENO DELO”)
Greentech Ltd Novi Sad, plastics recycling company, was presented with the "My green work" award for the "Help Planet Recycle" campaign implementation by the Provincial Secretary for Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection, Dusanka D. Sremački at the premises of Provincial Bureau of Environmental Protection on Friday, June 3.

Over 400 5-12 year olds had the opportunity to learn regarding the importance of recycling in order to protect the environment through creative workshops organized within this educational campaign.  Campaign tackled subjects included recycled waste plastics made products as well as how they can themselves participate in the recycling process.

"Help Planet Recycle" campaign was recognized by the Provincial Secretariat for Urban Planning, Construction and Environment as a positive example of corporate socially responsible activity for raising awareness of citizens, especially children, on the environmental protection importance.

MR. BOJAN PAJTIC RECEIVED ROMANIAN INVESTORS
"GREEN GROUP" (group of Romanian companies successfully engaged in recycling different types of waste in South East European countries) Delegation has expressed the readiness to invest the principle sum of USD 5mn to build a new electrical and electronic waste recycling facility during their today's meeting with the Mr. Bojan Pajtic, Vojvodina Prime Minister. In addition, the Green Group is interested in investing to further improve the current plastics recycling capacities in Greentech recycling facilities in Mladenovo, Backa Palanka, recycling more than 220 million PET bottles since the establishment in 2005..

 

Mr.  Bojan Pajtic, Vojvodina Prime Minister, said he was pleased with the fact that the "Green Group" first significant recycling facility investment was in Vojvodina Autonomous Province, in the Backa Palanka municipality, and with the International group wanting to re-invest in Vojvodina expanding its business.

GREEN SERBIA - RECYCLING INDUSTRY, PROSPECTS FOR THE FUTURE

Mr. Oliver Dulic, Minister of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning, stated during the second annual Business Info Group organized conference on "Green Serbia - recycling industry, prospects for the Future" that green economy would create 10,000 new jobs by the end of the present government’s term, already employing 5,000 people.

 

Minister Dulic assessed that Serbia has a high unemployment rate and that the better organization in the field of environmental protection would help create significant number of jobs.

 

According to his information, only one half of Serbian proper is covered by organized garbage collection.

 

"It is good that all of the state licensed operators to purchase, transport and process electronic waste, scrap tires and car batteries were paid subsidies," stated Mr. Dulic, noting that the subsidies helped recycling industry investments.
