GREENTECH SUPPORTED THE "DO YOU KNOW YOUR CITY" ACTIVITY
fotoScouts group "Ivo Lola Ribar" from Novi Sad traditionally organizes "Do you know your city?" activity during April of each calendar year, intended for the Novi Sad elementary schools’ fifth graders. During Sunday, April 27, elementary school pupils had the opportunity to test their knowledge of the city history and present, their resourcefulness, reveal preset locations using city maps and were asked to solve specific task after successfully reaching each of locations.
 
Moving along the route connecting important points of the urban living, the participants had the opportunity to renew their city knowledge, but also gain new knowledge and skills recognizing some of their newly acquired talents and interests. The entire program was realized utilizing scout methods, with special emphasis throughout being on teamwork.

GREENTECH ENVIRONMENTAL WORKSHOP AT THE “BIG” SHOPPING MALL

fotoGreentech Ltd. Novi Sad held a workshop for children titled "Ecological Bon-ton" as part of BIG’s Easter Magic Manifestations. During this specific creative socialization boys and girls had the opportunity to hear about as well as have their own take at environmentally friendly manners. They already knew very well that throwing away empty water or juice bottles isn’t polite thing to do, and yet they heard for the very first time that PET bottles recycling provides wide variety of useful products such as PET fibers that their favorite soft toys are stuffed with. They also learned that, in addition to money savings, we should also be saving water and electricity, and instead of plastic bags utilize tote- or regular shopping bags. They all provided their firm promise of becoming true environmentalists as well as teach their friends and parents the Ecological Bon-ton rules, because acting nicer to the planet shall in turn make planet be nicer to us.

"LET’S COLLECT, SEPARATE AND RECYCLE" CAMPAIGN
fotoPublic utility company "Komunalprojekt" from Backa Palanka together with Greentech Ltd. Novi Sad implements an educational "Let’s Collect, Separate and Recycle" campaign intended for Backa Palanka elementary school students. Greentech Ltd. Novi Sad donated 12 purpose-built containers for 12 Backa Palanka primary schools. Ecology and recycling lectures are to be organized for the school students in each school by the end of their school year. Lectures are conducted by Ms. Jelena Kojic, graduated Environmentalist, with workshops executed so far in "Vuk Karadzic" elementary school, as well as Nova and Stara Gajdobra elementary schools, "Braca Novakov" elementary school in Silbas, Despotovo and Parage.

MINISTER, MS. ZORANA MIHAJLOVIC, PHD, VISITED THE GREENTECH’S RECYCLING FACILITY
fotoMinister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection, Ms. Zorana Mihailovic, visited the Greentech’s PET packaging recycling facility in Mladenovo on the Republic of Serbia National Day (February 15, 2014). Minister Mihailovic expressed great satisfaction with Greentech’s new investment in PET flakes hot-wash facility as well as waste water and toxic fumes treatment plant meeting highest environment protection standards.
The Minister stated that certain legislation amendments would facilitate the increase in number of recycling facilities in Serbia, adding that both the Ministry of Energy and Recyclers would put their joint effort in terms of educating and increasing the general public awareness regarding primary waste selection and recycling importance.     Minister Mihailovic further added that that coordination between the ministries, local governments and recycling industry is essential for the development of the industry.

GREENTECH’S YET ANOTHER RECORD BREAKING YEAR

fotoPast calendar year proved extremely important for Greentech Ltd. Novi Sad, plastics recycling company, business operations. Year 2013 marked the beginning of a four million Euros worth of new investment cycle comprising of “Hot wash” PET packaging line installation, waste water treatment facility and toxic fumes prevention plant installation (first phase of investment) followed by polyethylene processing and RPET pellets producing facilities in the second and third, respectively, expected to be completed during the second half of 2014. Furthermore a record breaking 6,900 tons of collected and recycled PET packaging waste during 2013 showed 15% increase on a previous calendar year quantities.
